The story of a photographer
I am a wife, mother, school nurse; I am a dog lover, a foster dog mom, a daugther and a sister. I am a coffee lover, beer connoisseur, and avid runner and health concious lover of life, trying to find that endorphin fix through nature, photopraphy, time with my kids and the dogs. I am a Jesus lover, slinger of constant sarcasm, and devoted friend. My empathy outweighs my self care most days, but we are all a work in progress.
Photography came to me as a hobby back in 2007. I think that first time I caught raw, unadulterated emotion in an image on my first digital camera, a Fujifilm Finepix, I was hooked. Emotion is what drives me in all areas of my life, and to transfer it onto film was addictive for me. Over the years, I learned and practiced, took courses and and it became a significant part of who I am. I was married in 2011, and my husband, Jason is very much into photography as well, so this fueled me even more. I learned a lot of the basics of manual photography from him, who is now an experienced videographer full time. I continued building my skillset by taking pictures for family and friends many times, and volunteering at my church on the photography team. In late 2019, I decided to start a buisiness, and Amanda Kisser Photography was born. Since then, I have gone above and beyond my original expectations for this part of me, trying many types of shoots, saying yes and going from there. I am grateful for the opportunity that each and every client has given me to grow and develop my technique and skills.
